Let go…

Posted on Posted in General
I’m learning a lot about what it means to trust God and cast all my cares upon him. It’s up and down, kind of like a roller coaster ride. Sometimes exhilarating and “oh what a ride,” and then the uphill climbs come and the twists and turns, but want to know the most amazing thing…Jesus not only rides next to me but he controls the ride and even is the head guy in the maintenance department. With that in mind, I’m okay with the ups and downs life throws at me. If I would just let go, I would see that God has all things under control.
16 For in him all things were created: things in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or powers or rulers or authorities; all things have been created through him and for him. 17 He is before all things, and in him all things hold together.
 Colossians 1:16-17 (NIV)
So when things at work seem to spin out of control: I know that it will all work out in the end. OR When I seem to make another mistake, I experience more of his love and grace, so that I can get back up and try again. In His power, not my own.

God is so much bigger and capable than I give him credit for. Jesus defeated death and rose to life, he healed the blind, the sick, etc.

Why do I try to carry the world on my shoulders?
God offers with arms wide open to unload my burdens (even the ones I place on myself.)

28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. Matthew 11:28-29 (NIV)

Learning to just let go and let God. I know it sounds so cliche but isn’t it so true? He never asks us to go through life, suffer, etc. ALONE. He constantly reassures that He will never leave us or forsake us.

Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” Deuteronomy 31:6

Continuing on this wonderful journey. From sandy beaches to dangerous and treacherous dirt roads, I will continue on this journey knowing that My God stands with me, protects me, and even goes before me preparing an amazing adventure ahead.

One day at a time…
